I had ended my last blog with a shock.. Let me just reveal it. Thankfully the train was on time and i got into the bus to reach my home in Bangalore. The whether was pleasant with gentle breeze which kept me cool. Perhaps God was knowing that my temperature was to rise in few moments. As i entered the balcony of our house, i saw something strange. Something was missing and i was unable to figure it out. Then struck a word my "shoes"!! . Somebody had stolen my shoes. I was disgusted, as i had bought them very recently, and it will always hurt that little more when it is your hard earned money!! Initially i was very upset with my self, as how could i leave things outside in the balcony. I was more surprised when i heard even my roommate's shoes were stolen. Poor guy had kept his shoes only that night, and they were stolen. I felt that its not only me who has lost something...
So the week started on low, and the momentum continued even in the office. The first three days were hopeless. There were issues, issues and more issues in the office!! And being part of telecom industry, it is hard when you come across issues.. I had to work late for almost the whole week, preparing the trends and analysis. People from support would know what kind of "post mortem" goes in after an issue. However we worked as a team and some how manage to sail the storm. And perhaps that is why they saw " Even though you are utmost talented, what eventually matter is the team effort"
After going through the Lows, it was the time for highs!! I somehow managed to make a short trip to my hometown, which was big mind refresher considering the kind of stress i had gone through the week. I had some wonderful time at home, as usual, but this time it was a little more special. We all( me,mom, my two sisters , and my younger brother) were together after really long time. Every time somebody used to be missing, but not this time around. So as the people were celebrating Diwali, the festival of light, we were celebrating a reunion. Even though i was there for couple of days, it was again a memorable trip.Having spend some lovely time at home, i was in for one more surprise!! I wasn't expecting this. I was promoted and got appreciation for my efforts. i also got a thank you card from my manager, and though it was just a card, it meant that your efforts are being recognised. The best feeling is when your efforts are recognised and rewarded. It was just morale booster for me to keep the momentum going.
This was followed by a trip to Hyderabad!! an official one though. I was handling work of Hyderabad and was supposed to give knowledge transfer(KT) to the new guys who had just joined. This time around, for change i decided to stay in hotel. The company was gracious enough to book a room in Taj. I was supposed to give KT to guys who were much more experienced than me which i felt boosted my morale. The feeling was not just for giving kt but because of the respect and laurels i got for my good work. It's just the feeling you cannot simply express in words.. I winded the trip and landed in Bangalore. Looking at the ups and downs for the past two weeks, i thought that's it!!! But as usual God still had something extra planned for me!!!! details in my next blog :)

A Journey to My home town
The journey to my hometown was very fascinating and dramatic. As i started from my office, it was very murky, and dull climate with a gentle drizzle. Perhaps it was a trailer for the things to come in the due course. The train was late, so i got myself couple of samosas and a cup of coffee. I started waiting eagerly for the train, every moment seems to be looking as an hour. The train arrived on the platform, a got myself a seat in the general compartment. Very soon the train started and i had started a roller coaster of a ride.
As expected of a typical Local compartment in a train, it was stuffed with too many people. People from different places, caste, religion, age and sometimes i wonder that "trains" are in true sense, the picture of diverse Indian culture and tradition. Just in matter of minutes you will find people speaking with others whom they haven't met at all. And the most interesting of them are the topic which they discuss.. from politics, to films, stars, and most of time they end up with one giving advice to the other on how to lead their life. Some people like it and some don't. So you will find people with amused faces, carefully listening to what others are discussing and then give their "expert" comments at the end.
As the train continued its journey, criss crossing the hinterland of India, the landscape started changing. From the lush green land to more barren and hilly terrain. It was on time for about couple of hours, and as i expected, it didn't break the tradition of "Being Late". The Indian Railways have perhaps are synonymous with this word. Somehow, the train reached my home town by 11:00 PM an hour late. I don't know why, but i feel very very happy whenever i am in my home town. It's that internal feeling that cannot be expressed in words, u just have to experience it.. Having reached home, me and mom had our dinner.. Home made food!! cant get any better than it. You could have ate five star food, but nothing is best when it comes home made food. Perhaps its the love which adds that extra taste..
The next day was all but rain. Heavy rains had lashed and were ever you see it was just water and more water. Couple of months ago people were praying for rains, and here you have people again praying to God to stop the down pour. We, simply aren't happy what we get... There was huge loss to property and most importantly many lost their lives. People blame the Government and they blame the furore of the nature. What ever it is, we are the ultimate losers. And as usual all the TV channel were covering this disaster, as if it was some kind of a festival. I don't know whether excessive media coverage actually helps us. You find one channel making self proclaims that it is the best, and some other doing the same thing in some other way. I am not against the media, but there is limit for every thing..
I met my old friends, who had also come during the holidays. We decided to have dinner together, and luckily it wasn't raining that evening. In fact that was indeed a pleasant evening with full moon light. We had a blast together, discussing a school days and how things have changed in our lives. It was Sunday, the day to return to Bangalore. I had my lunch at my sister's house and we had fun after long time. I left home and reached station well before the train time, that's because the train was again "late". The train arrived and i reached Bangalore.. The moment i reached home i was in for a big shock...details will be in my next blog..........
